The older adult and their family are involved in any programme, in setting specific goals and planning treatment in most cases.
Services provided by physiotherapists include assessment and treatment as well as education and training of the client, other health professionals and family as required.
Physiotherapists working with older adults use a full range of physiotherapy treatments, including: exercise programmes, mobilisation, hands-on techniques and electrotherapy.
