These position statements offer important information on the standards expected from physiotherapists; topics include treatment of whanau and family members, supervision, the importance of clear sexual boundaries and many others.
The Code was developed in conjunction with the Physiotherapy Board and is the core document guiding physiotherapy practice in New Zealand. Two versions were written; the first is the core document, the second document provides an explanatory commentary for some of the more complicated issues.

The Standards of Practice were reviewed following the release of the Code of Ethics to ensure both documents were in alignment. The Standards provide greater guidance to members on a wide range of issues.

The objective of the Sports Physiotherapy Code of Conduct (SPCC) is to provide a comprehensive set of guidelines for the professional behaviour expected of physiotherapists providing sports physiotherapy services.
