Special Interest Groups

A network of 12 Special Interest Groups offers members a chance to focus on their specific area of interest and gain additional information, education and networking.

Special interest groups include:

  1. Cardiothoracic
  2. District Health Board (DHB) Leaders
  3. Mental Health
  4. Hand Therapy New Zealand (HTNZ)
  5. New Zealand Manipulative Physiotherapists association (NZMPA)
  6. Neurology
  7. Occupational Health
  8. Older Adult
  9. The Physiotherapy Acupuncture Association of New Zealand (PAANZ)
  10. Paediatric
  11. Pelvic, Women's and Men's Health
  12. Sports & Exercise Physiotherapy New Zealand (SEPNZ)

Joining a Special Interest Group

Current members can email to join any particular Special Interest Group (most groups charge an additional fee). New members can select the relevant Special Interest Group when renewing or joining online. 

Incorporated Societies

Many of the Special Interest Groups are incorporated societies. Some are registered with the Charities Commission. Click on the links below and use the SIG registration number shown to search for their rules and other information. A registration number starting with CC means the SIG is registered with the Charities Commission.
